I Never Review My Bank Statements. Is That a Problem?

Max’s Answer

Not necessarily, but spending a few minutes reviewing your bank statements each month can be one of the easiest financial habits you can develop. A quick review may help you spot unauthorized charges, forgotten subscriptions, duplicate transactions, bank errors, or missing deposits before they become bigger issues. For business owners, it can also help confirm that income and expenses are being recorded correctly. The good news is that this doesn’t require a major time commitment. Just a few minutes each month can provide peace of mind and potentially save you money.

Max’s Tip

Pick one day each month, such as the first Saturday morning or the day your statement arrives, and spend 10 minutes reviewing it. It’s a small investment of time that can offer big rewards.
